ARCHON coming to the iPhone

As you cannot tell from the screenshot above, Archon was one of the most best games EVER (yes, only ‘most best’ does it justice, nothing less). That was in 1983, a long long time ago, and so it’s been 26 years since this fabulous game was buried under less-than stellar adaptations for a less than-stellar platform, called a PC

If you needed only one reason to buy an iPhone, Archon could be it…

Today is a sad day (at least in the history of gaming).

Flight Simulator had longest lifespan of all video games, dating back from 1982. Its cutting edge graphics, incredible sophistication and overwhelming dullness made it quite a league on its own…

Alas, the Flight Simulator crew was not spared from Microsoft’ recent ‘back-to-reality’ job cutting.

For ‘FS’, it’s game over…

Publicly traded company Gamestop (NYSE: GME) announced its results this month, and boy, that’s almost indecent… More than 20% growth over last year.

Their Used video games business is on the verge of growing over $2 billion per year… Considering an average price of $20, that’s 275,000 games sold every day
